The Saints Soccer Club are holding Open Tryouts from now through June 2017.  Spaces are available in all age groups. Some age groups are fielding new teams and other age groups only have a spot or two coming open.  To set up a tryout for your son or daughter, please contact Coach Ryan Ross or Coach Brian Barnett (see flyer for their phone/email).  We hope to see you out at practice.  And don’t forget about our Free Skills training every Friday night – open to all players regardless of whether you are currently on the Saints.

Saints Kick Off 2017 Spring Season!

Springtime Soccer KellerOver the past few months, the Saints Soccer Club grew by four teams, adding many new players and families. Additionally, many of our existing teams added some player talent during the off-season. While many of our Saints are wrapping up indoor leagues, we kicked off the spring outdoor soccer season this past weekend. Most of our academy teams had a first week bye, but a few got back out to the great outdoors. Next weekend all teams should be in high gear with the exception of the older select teams (who will start up after spring break). Our Academy teams are playing in Prime Time League this spring. Our select teams have two teams in Prime Time, one in Plano League and two teams in Lake Highlands Girls Classic League. Most of our teams have been training not only with their team coach but also with the club fitness coach to prepare for the Spring. We wish all our Saints a successful spring season – GO SAINTS SOCCER!

New Teams and New Sod Taking Root at the Saints Practice Field in Keller

Keller Academy Soccer Club New SodPhase 1 of the renewal of Keller Lions Field is complete. The heavy rains may have cancelled some practices but the new sod drank it up and has taken strong root. The “kickoff” for practice on the new field will be Monday, February 6th. Additionally, the new LED lights have been installed and, all agree, they help a lot. The Lions Club Field is home to several of our Saints Academy teams and has already seen success in hosting community-wide Free soccer clinics on Friday nights.

Field Renovations Phase 2 Begins in February 2017

Phase 2 for the Lions Club field renovations will begin mid-February. It will include a new perimeter drainage system to dry the field quickly. New sod will be added to the Back Field and full perimeter giving us two full playing fields, 300 feet x 250 feet and 250 feet x 250 feet. We will add a new gateway between the baseball and softball fields with a crushed granite pathway to the parking lot. We will also add a shade structure sitting area for parents, with good views of the Front and Back Fields. A shout out to the Lions Club and City of Keller who have been very supportive of our efforts.

Saints SC Continues Its Expansion Course with New Southlake Fields

saints partner with southlake fieldsThe new year continues to be good for the Saints Soccer Club. Our partnership with Carroll ISD in Southlake is bearing new fruit. The Saints have secured use of the CIS lighted field at 1101 N. Carroll Ave this winter. This expansive, well-lit field will be available four nights a week for our Jr. Select and Select team practices. We are very grateful to Coach Teri Morris at CISD for her help in creating a schedule that will accommodate Saints Soccer. With this move, youth soccer in our area is getting the recognition and support so long enjoyed by other youth sports. CISD is committed to working with youth sport teams which exemplify Southlake values such as:

  • Fair Play,
  • Hard Work, and
  • Respect

Saints Soccer shares these values and looks forward to a continued successful partnership with CISD.
